Reincarnation
The spirits of human beings do NOT reincarnate into the
bodies of animals, and vice versa.
The spirit of a human being must reincarnate into a material
body to put into practice its intentions towards goodness and to
progress.
Each person’s actions or non-actions (in thought, word, and
deed) are subject to the Infinitely Just, Universal Laws of
Cause and Effect. Each must, during their material existences,
expiate and atone for its current and past life indiscretions,
and make any appropriate reparations. This allows for spiritual
equilibrium and soul progression. We receive assistance
throughout our spiritual journey from spirit guides assigned to
us from birth.
We are responsible for any wrongs we have committed and, for any
good we could have done, but failed to do. Progress is very,
very slow. It takes myriads of material existences to reach our
goal. But, the path of redemption is never closed and ALL can
reach relative perfection and the Creator. There is no such
place as a “Heaven” or a “Hell” - our behavior determines our
set of circumstances and our conditions, in the material world
and as well as in the spirit world. |
Our Beliefs
- The Supreme Intelligence is
First Cause of All Things. The Creator is Unique, Eternal,
All Love, All Just, All Knowing, and All Powerful.
- A human being is a soul (or
spirit) attached to a physical body.
- There are two planes of
existence, the material and spiritual worlds, whose
inhabitants constantly interact upon each other.
- Persons endowed with the
faculty of mediumship are more easily able to communicate
with spirits in the spirit world. Mediumship comes in
different degrees and types of abilities.
- Spirits must reincarnate
into successive material existences in order evolve:
intellectually, spiritually, and morally.
- The goal of reincarnation
(or soul evolution) is to reach relative perfection. Then
reincarnation is no longer
necessary and there is no more suffering. Beings determine
their own path by the choices they make in this process. We
are the architects of our own destiny.
- It is through the practice
of Love and Charity, which most facilitates our soul’s
progression.
- According to the numerous
spirit communications received from various sources, the man
named Jesus of Nazareth had the most morally superior spirit
to have incarnated on this earth. His mission was to provide
us with an example of what level of morality and goodness,
mankind can attain on this planet.

Allan Kardec
French Professor Allan Kardec
coined the name “Spiritism” in the 1850’s, to distinguish it
from Spiritualism. The information that comprises Spiritism is
based on advanced communications by morally superior spirits
received through different mediums from all over the world and
compiled into books by Kardec and The Parisian Society of
Psychological Studies.
After analyzing and collating the spirit communications
received, he published several books. These books contain what
is considered the basis of the Spiritist Doctrine (Spirit
Science), the science of the interaction of the spirit world and
material world and, its moral and philosophical implications.
These important books are: The Spirits Book; Practical
Instruction Regarding Spirit Manifestations; The Mediums Book;
The Gospel According to Spiritism; Heaven and Hell - The Divine
Justice Vindicated in the Plurality of Existences; and Genesis –
Miracles and Prophecies.
Allan Kardec’s real name was Hippolyte Leon Denizard Rivail and
was born in Lyon, France on October 3, 1804. He came from a
family of lawyers and he was well educated. He wrote books on
mathematics and French grammar. As a Professor, he taught all
subjects, especially the sciences. He opened his own school in
1825. He spoke 6 languages. In 1831, he married Amelie Gabrielle
Boudet, who was also a teacher. They had no children. Kardec was
NOT a medium.
